ENFO FEST 2012 in Seattle
This summer has been full of reunions back to back. The Eldon Nielsen Family Organization (ENFO FEST 2012) was held in Seattle where I got to be with 8 of my 9 brothers and their families. It was a time to be had in a tri level ski lodge next to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort and Mt. Ranier. We had the whole place to ourselves!! The lodge had 72 beds, 3 living rooms, game room, eating area and huge industrial kitchen. They said it is used as a hostel for skiers in the winter. What a perfect place for a reunion!!
Before the reunion started, the kids and I rode the ferry to Vashon Island for a walk down memory lane for Ben where he attended BYU-ID study away for a semester. We enjoyed walking the beach, finding seashells, touring a lighthouse, and eating smoked salmon. It was so renewing and therapeutic for me. Later we went to Pike's Market in downtown Seattle. It was fun to see all the action in the big city.
I sure love my sibs and it was the perfect place for the whole gang to visit and have fun together. It is hard to believe this great time is over. I really feel that is one of the best reunions we have ever had. I appreciate all the hard work from Val, Diane, Clark, and Darlene for their planning and organizing. It is a lot of work to pull this successful event off. I love my family!!!
