Katie's big performance of Evening of Dance "Cinemagic" was held on the BYU DeJong Concert Hall on May 6th and 7th. I was the backstage manager and organizer. Katie was in two numbers about Charlie Chaplin and the Holocaust. The dancers spend the whole school year preparing for this one incredible weekend of performances. I am always amazed at how beautiful Katie's grace and movements can inspire me as I get to watch every night in the backstage wings. I love being a part of this important time of her life. I am blessed to be her mother.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I missed this event, truly! The dust is still settling at my house & in my life since Emily & Jake's wedding...Blogs are a great way to stay connected, tho! I think it's wonderful that Katie has been involved w/ dance! It's a beautiful, artful way of expression! What a fortunate young woman, to have had this professional training! It will add to her well-being & manifest itself through many aspects of life in the years to come...What great parents she has, to see the value of dance! Xoxoxoxo
